This bright and colourful hand embroidery design was produced following the production of the detached chain stitch sampler.
The background is made of woven strips of hand painted silk and is stitched on with a variety of threads which gives interest and texture. Beads have been added for the centre of the flowers and there is a scattering of backstitched stars in dark blue.
