The starting point for this tryptic was a piece of mono printed felt.
Printing a fabric in this way involves applying fabric paint to a surface such as glass and then, in this instance, the glass plate was pressed firmly down onto the fabric, lifted away and then used to print further images until it "ran out". The paint on the glass was sometimes patterened and sometimes just left as splodges.
The mono printing was done completely freely, with very little idea of what the final piece was going to be about and was very much larger than the pieces used for these threee embroideries (I have quite a lot left to use at some later date!).
