The Green Drifts needlepoint design is worked on painted mono weave canvas and is stitched entirely in satin stitch.
By painting the canvas it can become a part of the design itself and the needlepoint stitches can be worked quite freely. A combination of a stranded cotton, a metallic thread and a machine embroidery rayon add a little variety to the single stitch used.
